The West End Cultural Centre Presents:

DECEMBER 21, 2012

Tickets available at

Quinzy’s annual Pop/Rock/Alternative/Choral/Bluegrass Christmas Concert Quinzmas has become a proud Winnipeg tradition over the last decade.

Starting in a neighbourhood bar in 2004, moving to the West End Cultural Centre and the Park Theatre and then finally taking it to the big stage at Burton Cummings Theatre last year, the show is the true success story of a proudly local band that decided to go big and a hometown willing to come along for the ride.

As any one who’s been to Quinzmas can tell you, Quinzy, along with their progressive folk partners-in-crime House of Doc, strive every year to create the most memorable, beautiful, strange Christmas concert possible, incorporating everything from balloons, glitter, recorder-medleys, ill-advised superhero costumes, cardboard doves, something called a ‘Keyboard Tree’, Toto covers, trumpets, trombones, french-horns, bow-ties, robots, Bing Crosbies, David Bowies, baby hippopotamus and operatic Santas.

It has been a glorious, hilarious, and magical nine years for Quinzmas. And now it’s time to say goodnight with one final extravaganza!

New Show!

We’re pleased to announce that Quinzy’s throwing a fundraiser for Make Music Matter – a wonderful charity that “engages, educates and fosters the youth living in African communities affected by extreme poverty through music and socially conscious art creating future community leaders.” How utterly awesome. So we decided it is something worth raising funds for. We’re playing with our dear old friends in Lost Weekend, and our dear new friends in Pumas (formerly Enjoy Your Pumas). S’gonna be great. Nov 2, 2012 The Park Theatre $13 in advance, $15 at the door. Tickets available now at Into the Music, Music Trader, and The Park Theatre. Go, child.

Welcome to the Year

And so we begin 2012… Thanks again to all those who made it out to Quinzmas 2011. That was a fun night. Even Yulebot 3000 had a good time, and he normally hates humans.

A few things to get this year started good and proper – a couple of new shows added (Festivale du Voyageur! He ho!) And details are forthcoming regarding the online release of ‘The Flats’, an album that we gave away to all Q-mas attendees, but is now ready to be released into the wild.

Stay warm everybody.

- Quinzmas is officially a Winnipeg Harvest ‘Tin for the Bin’ event, so please bring a non-perishable food item to help us spread some love to and fro.

September 9

Oh boy, it has been a while, hasn’t it? Quinzy is sorry, baby. We trust you’ll forgive the brief re-charge.

Onwards and upwards, though, for heavy things are a-brewing and this mountain is about to blow once more.

We got a big old gig for our Winnipeg friends, September 9 at the Park Theatre with Federal Lights (check out for details), and some pretty large announcements forthcoming. Yes, friends. Things are about to get real.
